All care staff at A Better Solution have to meet several criteria
Qualities
Caregivers need to have a caring heart to even be considered as a candidate. We chose caregivers who have servant hearts. Trustworthiness and reliability are also a must as well as flexibility and a teachable spirit.
Qualifications
Each caregiver employed by us is certified or in process of being certified with the following credentials: HCA (Home Care Aide), CNA (certified nursing assistant) or NAR (Nursing Assistant registered) which means they have taken at minimum a 75 hour course on the Fundamentals of Caregiving. Some of our staff are RN Delegated as well, allowing them to provide an even higher level of care to our clients. Many of the employees have additional training in specialized areas, such as dementia care.
Our Screening process Includes
-Washington State Department of Health credential verification
-Department of Motor Vehicles records check
-Proof of automobile insurance if driving
-3 professional industry specific references
-3 personal references
We require references to be with high satisfaction ratings
Upon hire, each caregiver participates in training and orientation provided by A Better Solution and participates in a skill review to assure training is adequate for our clientele. Routine reviews are conducted in client homes to assure client satisfaction and make any needed improvements.
